Creativity plays an equally vital role in social cohesion and wellbeing. Beauty, harmony, a sense of wonder, even a sense of discomfort – these experiences transport us beyond the every day. They change the way we view the world. They change lives.

Whilst medical intervention underpins physical recovery, connections and relationships heal the mind and soul.
I have been in a wheelchair all my life. My dream is to walk; to feel empowered and to be listened to. I’ve enjoyed learning new things, trying different styles. I am drawing every day and getting better and getting a lot of positive feedback about my art. It makes me feel happy, and good. Nancy
Love it. I get everything out of it. I meet new people, I make new friends, and I couldn’t be happier the way things are going right now. The thing I really like is it relieves my stress.

It is very nice to be surrounded by people who are interested in me and what I am doing. Because you don’t need any experience and I like Art…I thought I would try it. It’s good – since I live alone I mix with other people, and try new things. Elizabeth
