Think Global, Act Local – Social, Human, Economic and Environmental Sustainability.

Working within the framework of a Socially Engaged Art Practice I choose to work with communities socially and culturally underrepresented as practitioners or audience in the art world. Through art projects, advocacy, advisory roles and my business I act as a change-maker increasing opportunities, experiences, social cohesian and importantly, individual and community capacity.

I believe in ethical investment and choose to support businesses and services that promote fair and just working conditions, contribute to community ‘wealth’, minimize adverse environmental impact and do not exploit people over profit.

Without compromising the quality of my work I strive to reduce the ecological impact by adopting a range of sustainable principles and practices including re-using and recycling materials and supplies, and reducing my carbon footprint though the use of solar to fire my electric kilns. I use paper, cardboard and cellophane in my packaging. Did you know that cellophane is made from plant based cellulose and is 100% compostable and biodegradable?
